| ExamDiff |
| ExamDiff is a free tool for visual file comparison. It features a double-pane view that allows for side-by-side comparisons with color-coded line numbers indicating whether each line is added, deleted, or changed. You can easily edit either file with Notepad or the text editor of your choice by selecting one of the numerous toolbar buttons. ExamDiff contains a number of command-line switches to establish default behavioral characteristics. Other features include drag-and-drop support, text search, custom color, and font settings. |

Thank you. I am a DBA and was in need of a comparison of indexes between two databases...so I was able to create two text files of 500 or so lines and compare the two to check differences.Worked great when I excluded white space. Date: 2001-10-24 | mark soden |

It is great. Do what it promises nothing more, nothing less, all in 400 kB and for free. And 400 kB for a Windows program that works. Date: 2001-10-11 | Gabor Ziegler |
