| ICEWatch is designed to watch the attacks recorded against your computer by BlackICE Defender, distributed by ISS (ISS acquired Network ICE Corporation, the originators of BlackICE). BlackICE is a software firewall, which will protect your computer from intrusion attempts through any TCP/IP network connection (such as dial-up Internet connections, xDSL or Cable Modem connections, and so forth). While BlackICE is powerful and does a great job protecting your computer from network intrusions or attacks, it is somewhat lacking in the information it gives to you about these attacks (though it is improving, especially in v2.1u and above). This is where ICEWatch comes in. |
